General Manager – Equipment and Vocational Truck

As an integral part of the organization, the individual in this role will oversee day-to–day vehicle sales, rentals, assembly, service and parts operations at the site and is accountable for the achievement of budgeted revenue and profit objectives for a geographic territory. Responsible for ensuring the site follows standards and operating models.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to–day Sales, Rental, Assembly, Service and Part Operations at the site (Full P&L responsibilities).
  • Work with Sales and Rental Management to achieve the Sales and Marketing goals.
  • Develop the work plans to support the Sale and Rental Goals
  • Work with Manufacturing to develop the goals, strategies and high-level tactics related to Assembly Operations.
  • Develop the work plans to support the Assembly Goals and Strategies.
  • Develop the work plans to support the Aftermarket Service and Parts Goals and Strategies.
  • Work with the HR to execute training programs to continuously improve the performance of the individuals hired.
  • Ensure financial information regarding site performance is prepared, available and in compliance with financial policies and reporting requirements.

Background Requirements

  • 10-15 years of work experience on the service/aftermarket side of Equipment or vocational truck industries.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year College or university preferred
  • First-hand experience with service work and how this work must be managed to achieve superior results.
  • Comfortable in a matrix management structure
  • Results oriented and well organized, with strong quantitative skills and moderate to high EQ.
