Sales Manager – Fluid Power – OEM Sales

Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, the Sales Manager will be responsible for developing business with major Mobile OEM’s and customers for the company’s line of hydraulic components.

  • Establish, manage and grow the business relationship with assigned and target accounts
  • Provide technical / application guidance to clients.
  • Build close relationships with key customers to enhance sales volume and customer service
  • Execute sales strategy aligned with Corporate direction
  • Achieve profitable sales goals
  • Convert competitive accounts to company’s products.
  • Main Point of Contact for key accounts (assigned Territory OR Accounts)
  • Understand and share the Voice of the Customer
  • Maintain sales plan and customer prospect marketing database
  • Negotiate and Manage sales agreements with customers

Background Requirements

  • Bachelor degree (BS) in business or technical discipline from an accredited institution
  • 5+ years of applicable Field Sales experience in hydraulic component technical sales or business development for a manufacturer.
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering sustained sales growth
  • Strong fluid power industry and product knowledge
  • Organized, good planning and time management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Possesses presentation skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written with all organizational levels
  • PC skills & MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, word, outlook) software skills a must.
  • Strong fluid power industry and product knowledge
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
  • Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license

Preferred Background

  • Bachelor degree Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical degree
  • Certified Fluid Power Specialist Certification
